LWD holds consultative workshop to collect inputs for its new 3-Year Development Program Plan
Phnom Penh (August 8, 2017) – Experts and professionals from National Committee for Sub-national Democratic Development (NCDD), Finn Church Aid (FCA), Plan International, Star Cambodia, Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO)/CCC, and Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) today met with LWD senior and field staff to share their best practices, challenges and lesson learned on good governance, social accountability, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, small business development and livelihood development at a full day workshop in Phnom Penh.
The workshop, organized by LWD, also provided a good opportunity for LWD Strategic Planning Team to learn and seek key inputs from those experts and professionals to design its new Development Program Plan 2018-2020.
In his welcome remarks, LWD Board of Directors Chairperson Mr. Ung Sirn Lee said the workshop was very useful for LWD team to collect key inputs from the participants to integrate into its new 3-year development plan.
Mr. Lee suggested that the new plan was inclusively designed to meet the real needs of the target communities. He also advised that new program must include new initiatives which were applicable to the current country context.
LWD Executive Director Mr. Min Sor said in his closing remarks that the workshop ended fruitfully with a lot of key inputs which could be used for developing the new plan.
He deeply and sincerely thanked all guest speakers for spending valuable time to share their knowledge, experience, best practice and lessons learned at the workshop.
